Buttock Lift with Fat Transfer
In today’s society, butt procedures and augmentations, are extremely popular. From our favorite pop stars to “Instagram-famous” models; celebrities around the world are flaunting their well-endowed rear-ends. While many of them might be “real”, the truth is that the vast majority of these media-popularized booties are the product of plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancement. The Kim Kardashian’s of the world often go through a series of procedures in order to achieve their famous backsides!

Often known as a Brazilian Butt Lift, this is an invasive procedure where Dr. Dagan will inject an individual’s buttocks with fat removed from other areas of their body, in many cases the stomach.

How does a Butt Lift w/ Fat Transfer work?
Using Liposuction, fat is removed from one or more areas of the body and it is then injected into the buttocks and outer hips. It may be right for you if you are suffering from:

  • Flat or saggy buttocks
  • Asymmetrical butt cheeks
  • Disproportionate buttocks
  • Loss of mass in the buttocks, because of weight loss.
  • An excess of fat in one area or another (that needs to be removed and transferred).

The injections at different depths cause the buttocks to be lifted and allows the fat to keep from sagging.

Fat Transfer to Face
Fat transfers can benefit not only the body nit the face as well. As time goes on, the face begins to lose its once youthful, supple appearance. As there are a number of method of combatting this, fat transfer uses the body’s own fat, as opposed to more artificial fillers, like Botox or Juvéderm.

What is Facial Volume Loss?
Facial volume loss is a condition in which the face begins to show depressions, folds, wrinkles, fine lines, and lacks the once soft supple facial features.
Instead, the facial depressions leave the face looking “boney” and without its supple appearance. Facial volume loss is generally caused by a number of factors, such as age, sun damage, and in rare cases a symptom of disease.

How does it work?
Fat transfers to the face are done similarly to other fat transfers. Using liposuction from one area or another, fat is harvested and then injected into the treatment area; in this instance, the face. The injections are done at sites where the face is depressed and the presence of wrinkles, folds, and fine lines are evident.
The most common areas of the face in need of a fat transfer are the cheeks, lips, chin, and the neck. The difference however, is that the parts of the face don’t require as much fat as the buttocks or any other part of the body; so, in not as much fat needs to be removed using liposuction.

Fat Transfer to Hands
Like most of our bodies, our hands are victims of age and environmental damage. One of the most common signs of aging is thin, wrinkly hands, with prominent veins and fine lines. As we age much of the volume on the hands is lost. A fat transfer restores that fat through natural means, as opposed to the use of injectable dermal fillers.

How does it work?
Similar to all other types of fat transfers, using liposuction fat is harvested from one region of the body, and injected into the hands. This aids in restoring the lost volume, and smooth, supple, look and feel of the hands; lost due to aging, sun damage and environmental damage.
The hands will no longer show the signs of aging, they will be filler and exhibit their youthful contours.

Chin Implant Using Fat Transfer
Many of us suffer from a weak and under-developed chin. Without a strong chin, the face takes on a more circular, short, and stubby look. It makes an individual look fatter, and gives the face a poor profile.
By strengthening and adding to the chin, it enhances one’s profile. Providing them with the longer, thinner, more aesthetically-pleasing facial profile that we have come to accept as “attractive”. And one the best methods to enhance the chin and fix the faces profile is by using a fat transfer.

How does it work?
Just as a normal fat transfer, we harvest fat from other areas of the body. The harvested fat, is then injected along the jawline and above and below the chin. The amount of fat needed, as well as placement of the injections, is highly dependent upon the size of the chin, and its current shape and volume.
For the chin, if a severe amount of correction is needed, then the use of a prosthetic chin implant may be more helpful, and even in some rare cases, some patients may require both an implant as well as fat transfer.
During your consult, we will discuss the placement as well as the amount of fat injected into and around the chin and jawline.

Cheek Implants Using Fat Transfer
As a result of age and environmental damage, the cheeks tend to lose a lot of volume quite easily. Over time, they not only present wrinkles, but also in severe cases, deep facial depressions. In these cases, the natural means of replacing this lost facial volume is through the use of a fat transfer.

How does it work?
Using liposuction, we will harvest fat from different areas of the patient’s own body. Once the fat is harvested, we will prepare it, and it will be injected straight into the depressed areas in need of treatment.
The amount of fat needed and the placement of the fat injections is dependent upon on your needs of correction, a determination Dr. Dagan will make during your initial consult.

Fat injection, otherwise known as autologous fat transplantation, transfers fat from one part of the body to another. This is an excellent solution for face re-contouring, frown lines, crow’s feet, nasolabial folds and adding definition to the chin and cheeks. It also acts as excellent filler for scars that are depressed or any area that seems hollow or devoid of volume. Fat transfer may not be a permanent solution because the fat is naturally reabsorbed back into the body but several treatments may yield results that can be very long-lasting.

Fat is harvested from a donor site (Belly button, buttock, thigh, etc,) after a local anesthetic a tumescent solution is injected to the donor site to help facilitate the fat collection. Fat is then withdrawn through a small needle, processed to remove extra fluids, and re-injected into the new site in thin strands. Overfilling is necessary because some of the fat is reabsorbed weeks after the treatment. Fat for this procedure can also be harvested during liposuction.

This is an excellent solution for patients with allergies and sensitivity to other products because it is harvested from the patient so it can’t be rejected. There are no visible scars produced from this procedure. Fat transfer is performed under local anesthesia in the office and has minimal downtime.
